The measles outbreak continues in Kansas with five new cases reported in the past week A total of 37 cases have been reported. Respiratory illnesses are increasing as the winter season continues KMBC's Dennis Evans spoke to a doctor at the University of. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment is monitoring three people who were exposed to a person who later tested.

CBS news report by Barry Peterson from San Francisco on June 12th 1982 featuring the occurance of immune deficiency. Kansas public health officials report that the state is dealing with the largest documented outbreak of tuberculosis since the 1950s. The outbreak is mostly within the Kansas City area.

One person has died from the disease. New data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicates that Kansas has vaccinated just 690 people against.
