Does Micro Center Price Match Online and In-Store?
Micro Center says it can price match many major retailers and manufacturers, subject to specific checks. You cannot simply show the lowest price anywhere on the internet and expect a match: the competing offer must satisfy model, stock, seller and shipping requirements, and approval is not automatic. The process is best handled with the exact item information ready before you go to the store.
The essential qualification checks
Micro Center's published October 2026 policy states that the competitor must list the exact same model number and/or UPC. If the competitor operates physical stores, the product must be in stock at the competitor's nearest retail location relative to the customer's Micro Center. Online competitors must have the item in stock, and qualifying shipped items must be sold and shipped directly by that competitor rather than by a third-party merchant.
The policy also states a shipping-availability requirement of delivery within seven days and limits certain multi-region online offers to the retailer's U.S. store. These are eligibility checks to review in the current policy, not guarantees that an associate will approve every price match.
What usually does not count
Micro Center's documented exclusions include clearance, refurbished, remanufactured, off-lease, pre-owned and open-box offers, as well as rebates, competitor coupons, promotions or bundles, out-of-stock items, and club/member-only prices. A marketplace listing fulfilled by a third party is also not equivalent to a direct-retailer price.
This distinction is easy to miss during Black Friday when many advertised savings combine a promo code, bundle or limited-quantity clearance item. If the competing price relies on one of those elements, ask Micro Center whether the specific offer qualifies before making a trip.
What to bring to your local store
| Bring or record | Purpose |
| Product name and exact UPC/model | Confirms identical inventory |
| Current competitor listing | Shows the actual advertised price |
| Seller and fulfillment details | Establishes whether it is a first-party offer |
| Availability and ship timing | Addresses stock and delivery requirements |
| Screenshot or open page on your phone | Lets staff examine the current offer |
The current Micro Center guidance asks shoppers to print the qualifying listing or show it on a smartphone at their local store. Staff approval remains part of the process. An out-of-date screenshot is not a substitute for a current, in-stock, qualifying offer.
A hypothetical example of the problem
Suppose a graphics card has the same product family name on two websites, but one listing is a refurbished unit sold by a marketplace merchant. Even if the displayed price is lower, that is not the same qualifying new product offer as a first-party, in-stock card. The right next step is to compare exact manufacturer numbers and check the published exclusions—not to argue only from the product name.
No real inventory or 2026 competitor price is being asserted in this example. For any expensive component, also compare sales tax, pickup time, warranty and the actual return terms associated with your purchase.
B&H is a different process
B&H publishes a discretionary price-match review through product specialists and may email a short-lived purchase link if a request is approved. Micro Center's published instructions focus on the local store and its own model, stock and exclusion requirements. A shopper comparing both should read each policy directly; one store's exceptions do not transfer to the other.
The practical answer is yes, Micro Center considers qualifying price matches, but only after the listing and item meet current conditions and the request receives approval. Verify the policy on the day you plan to purchase, particularly during short promotional windows.
Frequently asked questions

Some qualifying direct-retailer listings may be considered, but third-party seller offers and other exclusions can prevent eligibility. Confirm the exact offer under the current policy.
