Who Are the Killers in Scream 6?
In Scream VI (2023), the principal Ghostface killers are Detective Wayne Bailey and his children Ethan and Quinn. The trio seeks revenge for the death of Richie Kirsch, who was a killer in the previous installment. Quinn's apparent death is staged to mislead the protagonists. This article contains major finale spoilers.
The Bailey family reveal
Dermot Mulroney plays Detective Wayne Bailey, Jack Champion plays Ethan and Liana Liberato plays Quinn. Their identities are connected by a family relationship that is concealed from Sam and Tara Carpenter. The three coordinate attacks while using the recognizable Ghostface disguise.
Why Richie matters
Richie Kirsch's death gives the new killers a personal motive. Their scheme depends partly on reframing Sam as the villain and damaging her reputation. The movie therefore extends the consequences of the previous film while supplying a different set of human attackers rather than bringing Richie back.
Quinn and the false lead
Quinn's staged apparent death is a major clue to how the killers manipulate the investigation. The police connection gives the family resources and information other Ghostface teams did not have. The reveal is not a supernatural resurrection: it is a deception organized by people who control the evidence presented to the others.
Finale and other Ghostface appearances
The shrine-like setting in the climax makes explicit the family's fixation on the franchise's bloody past. The movie also includes an opening Ghostface storyline involving different perpetrators, so a casual count can vary depending on whether someone means every masked attacker shown or the principal killers responsible for the main plot. When someone asks 'who are the Scream 6 killers?', the answer should name the Bailey family and explain that distinction.
