Where to Watch The Visit (2015) in the US
The Visit (2015), the found-footage-style horror film directed by M. Night Shyamalan, is not reliably listed as part of the US Netflix subscription catalog as of the October 30, 2026 check. US availability trackers instead indicate Prime Video and other legitimate rental or ad-supported options around this date. Check the title's official provider listing before paying, because rights can change quickly and a Netflix page in another country does not establish access in the United States.
Make sure you have the right The Visit
The 2015 American horror movie follows siblings Becca and Tyler on a trip to their grandparents' isolated Pennsylvania home. The children record their visit, only to discover increasingly unsettling behavior. Olivia DeJonge and Ed Oxenbould play the siblings; Deanna Dunagan and Peter McRobbie feature among the older relatives. The movie runs approximately 94 minutes and has a PG-13 US rating.
The title is shared by unrelated productions, including a separate 2015 Nigerian film in some databases. Check the director, the children-at-the-farm premise and the 94-minute runtime. Those facts are more reliable identifiers than a poster thumbnail in a crowded search page.
Is it on Netflix in the US?
A Netflix page's existence does not mean a movie is currently playable in every region. Listings can remain indexed after a title leaves a catalog, and a page reached from another country's Netflix domain may display a different availability message. For a US account, open Netflix directly, search for The Visit, then check whether the 2015 Shyamalan film has an active Play button. A trailer-only or unavailable page is not a subscription offer.
At this article's October 30 editorial check, the stronger US availability evidence points away from Netflix and toward other services. Because availability can change even within a few days, avoid headlines claiming “free on Netflix” or a permanent exclusive platform without a dated US verification.
Other legal ways to watch
Around late October 2026, US provider aggregation lists the film through Prime Video and a range of transactional stores, with some advertising-supported options appearing in catalog searches. Each service has different terms. “Included with Prime” is not the same as a video rental through Amazon's storefront, and a free-with-ads listing may require a different app.
To avoid paying unnecessarily, first check a subscription you already have, then compare an official ad-supported listing, then a rental if neither works. Look for the exact release year and cast. Rental access is generally temporary, while a digital purchase is governed by the account's licensing terms.
What to expect from the movie
The Visit builds tension from the siblings' point of view and from the uncomfortable difference between expected family familiarity and frightening uncertainty. Its style incorporates the characters' recordings into the storytelling. If you are deciding whether to watch with younger viewers, review the PG-13 advisory and your own household's tolerance for horror rather than judging solely from the age of the child protagonists.
