Some important deaths and when they occur

Shane dies near the end of Season 2. Lori dies while giving birth during Season 3, Episode 4 ('Killer Within'). Hershel is killed in the prison conflict during Season 4, while Beth dies at Grady Memorial Hospital in Season 5. Glenn and Abraham are killed during Negan's brutal introduction in Season 7. Carl dies in Season 8 after a walker bite. These milestones reshape the survivors' priorities and leadership.

Deaths are not the same as disappearances

Rick's departure in Season 9 is not a confirmed death: he survives and his story continues in The Ones Who Live. Similarly, characters missing from one season may reappear later or continue in a different series. Negan and Daryl both survive the original finale.
