Status as of November 2, 2026: California’s November 3 general-election results have not yet been reported. This page is a prepared results guide, not a statement that any candidate has won. Publication is on hold until verified statewide results begin after polls close.

When will California 2026 results begin?

The California Secretary of State’s voter information guide states that November 3 general-election returns are available beginning after polls close at 8:00 p.m. Pacific Time. The first numbers are unofficial and will be updated during election night.

Do not publish a race leader, winner or vote percentage until the election authority has released data and the figures have been checked for the correct contest.

Which election results does this page cover?

This page is reserved for California’s November 3, 2026 general-election returns, not the June 2 primary results or the 2024 presidential election. California has statewide contests and many U.S. House districts with distinct candidates.

Each race needs its own accurate label, reporting jurisdiction and count status. “California election results” is a statewide umbrella term, not evidence that all contests were decided at once.

Unofficial tally versus certification

County offices continue processing outstanding eligible ballots after election night. The California Secretary of State says updates continue through the canvass and that certified election results are expected by December 11, 2026.

An early lead may change, and a media projection does not replace certification. When adding a result, record the authority, timestamp, number of precincts or ballots reported when available, and whether the figure is unofficial.

How this page will be updated

Before releasing the draft, an editor must check California’s official election reporting and enter actual totals for clearly identified races. Use dated updates and explicitly label whether each figure is unofficial or certified.

If results are still pending, say so. Never fill a results table with guessed percentages, fabricated turnout or a predicted winner.
